Team Meetings: Fridays 2:45 - 4:45 in Room 227c
The Beechcroft Math Team refines their arithmetic skills through ACT and SAT practice tests in preparation for local, regional, and national levels. Teams are divided into two groups, the first groups consisting of freshmen and sophomores, and the second group with juniors and seniors. The Beechcroft Math Team attends various math competitions, especially ones hosted by The National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) at their regional and national conventions, such as the NSBE Tri-Math-A-Lon Competition.
The Beechcroft Math Team is divided into two cohorts; One for 9th and 10th Graders, and the other for 11th and 12th graders. However, all members of the Math Team practice together, and students from different cohorts can still enter non-NSBE related math competitions ase one team. The Beechcroft Math Team also has occasional scrimmages and joint practice sessions with the Northland Math Team, and will also form teams with them at math competitions. If you are interested in joining the Math Team, simply notify Mrs. Eberhardt or any one of the STEM Club Officers and attend our weekly meetings.
